COSMOLEP is an experiment to study the muonic component of extended air showers induced by cosmic rays. Combining several LEP detectors and scintillator arrays in the LEP tunnel coincidences over many hundred meters can be observed. In this way the nuclear composition of primary cosmic particles can be studied.
